About

Hi, I'm Heather - a therapist and mom to an Autistic son, and a fierce advocate for Neurodivergent families. I know what it's like to raise a neurodivergent child while managing the real world expectations. I know the school meetings, appointments, the sensory battles, the meltdowns, the guilt, the love, the fear, the fierce protectiveness, and the bone-deep exhaustion. I also know the joy, the creativity, the brilliance. The way neurodivergent kids see the world differently - beautifully. My Practice was built for families like mine. Families who don't fit the mold. Families who need support that feels real, warm, and judgement-free. Why Families choose Me I'm raising an autistic child, I understand masking, burnout and sensory overload, I speak kid, teens and parent fluently, and I offer therapy that is affirming, practical and deeply human. Kids trust me because I meet them where they are. teens trust me because I don't talk down to them and parents trust me because I get it - truly. I believe neurodiversity is not a flaw, behavior is communication, kids thrive when they feel understood, parents deserve support, not judgment and every brain deserves to feel safe. If you're looking for a therapist who understands your family from the inside out, you're in the right place. Please Note My approach to counseling is grounded in collaborative talk therapy. Clients should be able to actively participate in conversation during sessions. Individuals who are nonverbal may not be the best fit unless they are able to communicate effectively through an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device.
